Greensboro’s Parks and Recreation Department is hiring for all part-time summer 2024 jobs, including camp counselors, head camp counselors, park attendants, playground counselors, Camp Joy counselors and program instructors, sprayground attendants, and all pool positions. Compensation for the summer jobs starts at $15.91 per hour for up to 40 hours of work per week from June to August. There is a particular need for lifeguards. The City will hire people as young as 15 for those positions and new hires will receive all appropriate lifeguard certifications and safety training.
“Summer is our busiest and most impactful season at the Parks and Recreation Department. We are seeking passionate and creative recreation professionals to make this the best summer for our participants and visitors,” said Parks and Recreation Director Phil Fleischmann. “We encourage all individuals who want to get involved and make a difference to apply for one or more of the diverse range of positions we have available – such as lifeguards, camp and playground counselors, and maintenance workers.”
