The Greensboro History Museum will host its annual Lunar New Year Community Celebration from 12-4 pm, Saturday, February 3, at the Greensboro History Museum, 130 Summit Ave. Organizations from across North Carolina will be on hand to share different Asian Pacific traditions and cultures.
There will be music and dance performances and visitors can also enjoy hands-on activities while learning more about local Asian Pacific communities. Participating groups include the Greensboro Chinese Association, Cambodian Cultural Center, Taiwanese Association of America-NC, Montagnard Dega Association, Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors Raleigh, North Carolina Asian Americans Together, Greensboro Public Library, and more. Plus, Chirba Chirba Dumpling food truck will be on site from 12-3 pm with Asian treats for sale.
This year’s Lunar New Year celebration has been organized in partnership with the City of Greensboro AAPI Employee Resource Group. Free parking for Greensboro History Museum weekend events is available across from the museum and at the Church Street Parking Deck, a 3-5 minute walk away.
