Please join us for an MLK weekend of service and celebration!
Over four days, the City of High Point will honor Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy and recognize the inauguration of our historic new City Council. On Friday, after our City employee day of service, we'll recognize our 2024 Humanitarian of the Year, Jakki Davis, at the YMCA's Black and White Ball. The celebration will continue on Saturday with an MLK Parade on Main Street, followed by an inauguration celebration at Truist Point. On Sunday, the High Point Theatre will host a nondenominational prayer service and a meet and greet for our new City Council members. On Monday, we'll conclude the weekend's activities at the MLK Day Breakfast and Oratorical Contest, sponsored by the Ministers Conference.
Event Parking:
The City Council's historic inauguration celebration will happen after the MLK parade.
