An eight-inch water main break at the 1600 block of Willow Road has left 25 water customers without service and closed lanes on Willow Road between E. Florida Street and Barksdale Drive.

City crews are onsite until repairs are complete and lanes are reopened, which is expected to take place by 5 pm today. Meanwhile, motorists are urged to use alternate routes to avoid the area.

If you notice discoloration or cloudy water coming from your tap after the repairs, run cold water for a few minutes through a faucet without an aerator, such as an the outside spigot or bathtub, until clear.

For other water and sewer emergencies, 24-hour contact area, water main breaks, sewer stoppages, taste, odor and discolored drinking water, and hydrant flushing, call 336-373-2033.
