About Dramatists Playground
Not unlike 24 Hour Plays and the popular 48 Hour Film Festival, the Dramatists Playground’s purpose is to create an intense deadline-focused period of time to make dramatic art. Theatrical creatives gather in the morning and are randomly assigned to groups to spend an entire day creating and learning to work together through ensemble building and improvisation. The doors to the theater will open to the public at 7 pm, and ready or not, the world’s newest plays will be born and presented to an audience.
Founded in 2019, Creative Greensboro provides support for, ensures access to and drives awareness of Greensboro’s creative community.
