National Parks and Recreation Month Begins July 1

The City of Greensboro will celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month throughout July with a series of community events.  

Tie Dye the Fourth of JulyWarnersville Pool | Saturday, July 1 | 10 am to 12 noonFor $10, you will tie dye your very own custom tie dye shirt and then cool off with a dip in the pool at 601 Doak St. The $10 registration fee covers your t-shirt and supplies. Pool admission is free. Registration is required.

Downtown Greenway Community Picnic
Bragg Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive | Saturday, July 8 | 11 am to 2 pm 
This second-annual event is an afternoon of fun with friends new and old, a pig picking, music, and more. Registration is required, and cost is $40 per adult and $20 per child 12 and under. 

Adult Recess
Barber Park | Friday, July 14 | 6-9 pm
Your favorite 21+ event is back! Party at the Barber Park sprayground, 1500 Barber Park Dr., with all your adult pals. There will be playground games, sprayground access, and plenty of new friends to meet. Get your babysitter now and rally your crew for this free event. Food and beer available for purchase. 

Movie Night at Hester Park
Hester Park | Saturday, July 22 | 8:15 pm
Bring snacks and blankets or a lawn chair to enjoy a showing of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie" at Hester Park, 3615 Deutzia St. The Greensboro Police grill team will be serving up hotdogs. Admission and hotdogs are free. 

Croquet in the Garden
Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden | Friday, July 28 | 6-8 pm
Wrap up the month with a magical evening at the garden, 1105 Hobbs Rd. Learn to play croquet and petanque with Carolina Petanque while exploring the garden, enjoying food, beverages, and music.
