The Sports Business Journal has ranked Greensboro as the 35th best sports business market, despite not having any NBA, MLB, NHL or MLS professional teams. Greensboro ranks ahead of cities like Memphis, Portland, Baltimore, Sacramento who all have professional teams. This is a testament to Greensboro's ability to host ACC basketball tournaments, NCAA basketball tournament games, the PGA's Wyndham Championship, and endless swimming and diving championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
