Members of the Guilford County Board of Commissioners (Chairman Skip Alston, Vice Chair Carlvena Foster, and Commissioner Carly Cooke) held a meeting of the Guilford County / Guilford County Schools - Joint Capital and Facilities Committee with members of the Board of Education for Guilford County Schools (Chairwoman Dena Hayes, Bettye Jenkins, and Alan Sherouse) along with Superintendent Dr. Whitney Oakley, GCS Executive Staff and Guilford County Government Executive Staff. The meeting was held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Guilford County Schools Administrative Offices.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the 2020 School Bond Projects Ordinance Revisions and Guilford County Debt Model proposed to be discussed at the January 5 Guilford County Board of Commissioners Meeting.
Also in attendance as observers were Guilford County Commissioner Frankie T. Jones, Jr. and Guilford Board of Education member Khem Irby.
