Nontsikelelo "Barney" Dos Santos has already been accepted into UNC Chapel Hill's biomedical engineering program as part of the Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP) through GTCC.
The Swaziland native, who came to this country alone six years ago, said she has always wanted to help the world through medicine--now with humans instead of animals as she'd once thought.
