Community members wanting to review plans and other information about the Metropolitan Transportation Plan have a couple of weeks left.

The public's online access to the most recent design, the 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, will end on Tuesday, Dec. 1, according to information from Greensboro.

The Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's draft transit plan is designed to forecast, accommodate, and plan for the region's transportation needs over the next 20-25 years, according to the department's website.

The plan also includes roadways, walkways, bike paths, and other projects that will make the city more accessible to everyone, according to the department's website. Within the program, various situations and outcomes are considered.

Decisions are based on analytics and the expected need for transportation in the coming years and decades.

The department will also hold a virtual meeting about the plan on Thursday, Nov. 19, on its Facebook page.
