City of Burlington recently issued the following announcement.

SPACE IS LIMITED FOR THIS HIKE.
EVERY PERSON IN YOU PARTY NEEDS TO PREREGISTER.
Grab a friend and get out for a hike in the woods! This hike is 2 miles on natural surface trail over rolling terrain with a few steep hills. Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots. Kids welcome with accompanying adult.
The hike starts promptly at 5:15 pm. Plan to arrive a few minutes prior to the start time.
Registered hikers will get an email with additional information and directions to the trail head the morning of the hike. You will need the directions we send you - this trailhead can be tricky to find.
What to Bring:
- Water bottle
- Insect repellent.
- Trekking poles (optional, but recommended)
- Mask. Masks are required during check-in and while gathering before the hike (but not while hiking).
