Small businesses that want to switch to virtual international trade shows can apply for many grants through the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (NCMA) said.
The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina has resources to help these small businesses, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many companies and in-person events were shut down due to U.S. travelers being blocked from entering other countries.
“During a pandemic, exporters still need to find ways to exhibit their products and connect with new customers and distributors around the world,” Mike Hubbard, director of international trade for the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, said in the Aug. 20 NCMA press release.
The U.S. Small Business Administration is allowing virtual trade shows or missions to apply for State Trade Expansion Program grants, the release said. More information on these grants or to apply for a grant can be found online.
