City of Burlington recently issued the following announcement.
Fun Fridays: Lazy 5 Ranch for Special Populations

Come pet and feed the animals! Join us as we travel to Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville, NC. Lazy 5 Ranch is an exotic animal zoo with over 750 animals from 6 different continents. We will take a tour of the zoo as well as pet and feed the animals. After the tour, we will eat lunch at China Grove Family Restaurant. The cost for the trip is $10 per person. Lunch costs are the responsibility of the participant and/or parent/caregiver. Each participant under the age of 18 years must have a parent/caregiver with them. Please park in the marked spaces between the baseball field and grassy area on Overbrook Rd. We will load from the sidewalk at 8:30am. We are expected to return no later than 3:45pm. Please register online or at the BRPD Main Office no later than October 4 at 12pm. We can not accept registration after this date. Please wear closed toe shoes.
