All persons and businesses in Guilford County are required by North Carolina law to pay their local property taxes before midnight, January 5, 2023. This deadline applies to taxes on all real property and on all classes of personal property EXCEPT vehicles licensed in North Carolina.
Payments may be made in person at the Guilford County Tax Collection Center located at 400 West Market Street in Greensboro or at the Governmental Complex located at 325 East Russell Avenue in High Point. Please call 336-641-3363 prior to visiting to ensure our offices are open to the public. 24/7 Drop Boxes are also available at both Greensboro and High Point offices. You can mail your payment directly to our bank’s processing facility in Charlotte. The address to which payments should be mailed is:

You may also pay your taxes online by eCheck or with credit/debit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa) by accessing https://my.guilfordcountync.gov/ or you can download the myGuilfordCounty app at the Apple app store or at the Google Play app store. A processing fee of 1.85% of the transaction amount plus a $2.00 transaction fee will be charged for online or telephone payments by credit or debit cards. If paying by eCheck online, there will be a processing fee of $1.25 per transaction amount plus a $2.00 transaction fee. Point of sale (in person) payments are charged a processing fee of 2.35% of the transaction amount.
NOTE: Payments not made by the close of business on or postmarked by January 5th will be subject to interest penalties as well as forcible collection methods such as garnishment of wages and attachment of bank accounts.
