Date: Oct 20 Time: Thursday 4:00 PM-6:00 PM
Join us on Thursday, October 20th from 4pm to 6pm at Jamestown Park (Shelter 1) to paint a pumpkin and learn about the Accessibility for Parks Grant!
The Accessibility for Parks (AFP) program provides $10 million for parks and recreation grants to benefit children and veterans with
disabilities in North Carolina. The matching grants can be used to build accessible facilities or adapt existing facilities that meet the unique needs of childrenwith physical and developmental disabilities.
If awarded, the Town could work on installing a new Inclusive Universal Design Playground, Therapeutic Fitness Equipment, and yard games located in the poured rubber and surrounding concrete.
