The State Farmers Market in Raleigh will not be sold to developers after all, WRAL has reported.
While the city’s farmers market has plans to expand in the area, North Carolina Department of Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler announced that the market will not be moving and that there are no plans to sell the land to a private developer. Troxler made the statement after signs near the market indicated the site would be transformed into a condominium building.
“This is simply not true," Troxler said at a news conference, according to WRAL. "We love our farmers market and we are glad our customers do, too.”

However, a new condo building is not completely out of the picture. What is certain is that it would not impact the farmers market and it would most likely sit near North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus, recognized as Spring Hill.
