In honor of this weekend’s impending winter weather, here’s a flashback to an HPU snow day, 1948 style!

 Who has hopes for building their own snowman?

In preparation of potential inclement weather this weekend, here are a few HPU snow readiness facts:
 HPU remains open with staff and security on campus 24/7
 – 250 hours of manpower have already been dedicated to prepping and maintaining the physical campus
 -Campus Enhancement has up to 50,000 pounds of rock salt and 45,000 pounds of ice melt for university sidewalks and streets
 -Shelves are stocked in dining facilities across campus
 -RAs will be checking in on students all weekend in their residence halls
– HPU’s Campus Activities Team will have winter events planned, such as a double feature in the cinema on Sunday, a snowman building competition and sleds available in the arcade
