Robert K. Marshall Professor of English Heather Hayton recently presented her ongoing research at an international conference.

Heather’s scholarly paper, entitled “The Politics of Eating in Indra Das’ The Devourers,” was an analysis of how depictions of food and eating in the award-winning novel represented political resistance to Hindunationalist politics in India.

The presentation was part of a three-day seminar entitled “Feasting and Fasting” at the American Comparative Literature Association’s annual conference, held in Taiwan and virtually, in June 2022.
